PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The Paris stock market is expected to open slightly higher on Friday, the last session of the year before the New Year long weekend.

Around 8:20 a.m., the futures contract for the CAC 40 index gained 12.5 points, or 0.2%, according to broker IG.

Investors should start the year as they are ending it: focusing on the outlook for interest rates from major central banks, while many more optimistic about the global economy are betting on a Federal Reserve (Fed) rate cut in 2024.

Among the companies represented in the SBF 120 index, retirement home and clinic operator Clariane (formerly Korian) has entered into a second real estate partnership with Crédit Agricole Assurances, its largest shareholder, for €90 million. Clariane also announced the establishment of a 200 million euro real estate bridging loan maturing on January 31, 2025. “The closing of these two operations is part of the refinancing plan announced on November 14 last year,” the group said.

Renewable energy producer Voltalia has sold 100% of its operating wind farms in Sarry and Molinons for an undisclosed sum.

Aircraft leasing company BOC Aviation has announced that it has ordered six A320neo family aircraft from aircraft manufacturer Airbus. The Singapore-based company did not disclose the amount of this order.
